We have all seen the news reports stories connected with too much sun tanning and red children on the by the pool. Unfortunately it is a lot more impotant than that. Parents globally are allowing their youngsters to stay out in the sun with no protection at all.

net effect of this is that teenagers are contracting skin cancer at an alarming speed. This can be fatal if not seen to in its very early stages and more often than not it is totally preventable.

Education is vital and we all need to be aware of just what the sun can do to our skin. Not just in the case of children. Macho men go on the beach and will not apply lotion as it does not fit in with their image.

Older folk think that as they have had a lifetime of sun bathing without protection then their skin is used to the sun so will not build up problems. Mothers apply lotion to the children but do not think they need it.

The fact of the matter is that we all need to use proper sun protection and educate our children the proper use of creams They also need to have a consciousness of the risks of not doing so.

Many beaches now have patrols and these persons have one job in life and that is to see the first signs of burning and to educate beach users on the risks they face. Having passed on this useful information lots of people carry on to ignore the warnings.

Proper sun protection does not have to be costly and when you consider the possible results of not using it then I think that everyone should all use a bit more common sense and try to guard our loved ones from painful treatments, disfigurement and possible death.
