The anti aging skin care products and cosmetics industries are huge businesses, turning over billions of dollars a year. Lots of women in the US want to look good and want to look younger and so big companies take advantage of this.

But sadly many of the anti aging skin care products that you buy just don’t really do very much. Sadly the cosmetics and anti aging industry is are insufficiently regulated in the US and these companies can put almost any ingredient into their products without proving that are safe for people to use or that they work.

As a result there are many anti aging skin care treatments available that don’t work, and contain suspect, or known to be dangerous ingredients.

But regardless this huge numbers of anti aging skin care products which are being sold and being advertised as making your skin look younger and you look great.

So, how do you navigate your way through all this to choose an anti aging skin care treatment that does work, and doesn’t contain ingredients that you should be scared of?

This is how not to choose your anti aging products.

1. It’s important to avoid fragrances in skin care and anti aging products that you might buy. Everyone like to smell nice and so big companies use fragrances. Look younger and smell good at the same time.

But there’s 2 problems. Firstly the skin care cream you’re buying probably won’t do very much to make you look younger.

And secondly, fragrances are chemicals and not good to put on your skin. And it’s exactly the same with perfumes, but with a perfume you only use a little here and there, but with a skin care cream you apply much more.

2. Don’t buy skin care creams that have collagen in them. Now this looks counter intuitive doesn’t it? Everyone knows that collagen, or the breakdown of collagen in your skin, leads to sagging and wrinkling of the skin so putting more collagen on must be good.

Well yes and no. We do need to replace the collagen, but collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin, so putting collagen in the bottle does nothing, other than making you feel good perhaps.

But you can increase the levels of collagen in the skin by stimulating the skin to produce more of it’s own collagen.

Why then is there collagen in the bottle and why is that well-known movie star on TV telling you how much younger she looks? The reason is that the big anti aging skin care companies know that if customers see collagen in the bottle they will buy those bottles.

Even if it doesn’t do anything for you. Even if the ingredients are suspect. It will sell.

That’s marketing.

But there is a problem. It costs huge amounts of money to pay that special celebrity to make the TV advertisement telling you how great those products are.

So those in care and anti aging products really don’t do very much and cost a lot. But that’s ok because people believe that if it’s expensive it must be good. So they pay anyway.

There’s 2 important things to keep an eye out for and avoid if you want to find the best skin care treatment. There’s more, but that’s for another time, or visit my website.

So maybe you should just give up on anti-aging products because they don’t work? No. There are excellent anti-aging products that work fine, are moderately priced and use ingredients known to be safe.

These products are not made by the big companies but by small niche skin care companies you won’t have heard of. They don’t spend up big on advertising on TV and that is the reason products are reasonably priced and also the reason you’ve probably never heard of.

Organic Skin Care Products don’t have these problems.

Don’t despair. So as you can see there are alternatives to unsafe ingredients in the well-known anti aging skin care products. It’s all up to you. Visit my website to find out more about Anti Aging Skin Care Products
