If getting up early in the morning, spitting in a glass of water and then watching what happens to your spit over the next hour or so is exciting to you then go ahead and do your Candida Spit Test tomorrow morning.

There is certainly no harm in doing a Candida Spit test, its just that the results are far from conclusive with no real evidence that the results can be relied upon.

As a matter of interest I have done this test a couple of times with varying results. Just to side step for a second, my health is very good any Candida Spit Test should return a healthy result. First test indicated that I was in fact in good health. However on two other samples there were some negative signs. Once again there is absolutely no reason for there to be any indication that I have an issue with a candida overgrowth.

It is really up to you to bother with the Candida Spit Test, as I said before there is no harm in it, it is just my intention to get across that the results should not be relied upon to heavily.

Lets go then, this is how to take the test;

Fill up a glass full of water and pop it some where that you will see as soon as you get up and before you get into your morning routine. It needs to be a clear glass as you are going to need to see what is happening when you spit in it!

Have a great nights sleep and try not to dream about spitting…

When you get up in the morning before you do anything else, get a good amount of saliva in your mouth and spit it into the glass of water. Play nicely, don’t try to make a game out of this.

Observe the appearance of the saliva so that you can know what it started out like, and then its time to get on with your day.

About every 15 minutes you should review your Candida Spit Test to see what is happening, and do that at least 3 or even better 4 times.

There are a couple of things you might see that are supposed to indicate that you have Candida Albicans Overgrowth. But first I will cover off what is supposed to indicate a healthy candida spit test result. If your spit floats and over time dissolves pretty much into the water, you are free of Candida.

On the other hand you may notice a cloudiness, or stringiness to the saliva, or it may even just sink to the bottom but not dissolve. There is one other thing and that is it could leave a specky appearance.

According to the Candida spit test theory, if any of this shows up you have Candida Albicans Overgrowth. And the faster it happens the bigger your problem.

Certainly there will be many results that are accurate and will confirm or deny a problem with Candida Overgrowth. I simply recommend that you take the results with a grain of salt.

Accepting that your results may well be positive, use that information in the right manner and that is to go to the next level of getting advice from a doctor. The Candida Spit Test is quite OK to do, just be careful not to rely on it.

In the mean time it is really important to review your diet. When dealing with a yeast infection it is normal that dietary intake is the cause of the issue and the place to begin for a long term resolution.
