Natural Cure For Heartburn Or Urban Myth

A good number of sincere folk are convinced they have found a heartburn home remedy
but there are just as many convinced that a supposed natural cure for
heartburn is just an urban myth. Conversly, it is
probably true that in many cases some of the recommended lotions
and potions act as a placebo and indirectly contribute to a
heartburn home remedy.

A goodly proportion of the natural remedies for heartburn and indigestionin
appear to be harmless flights of fancy but, nevertheless, it
would be best to have a chat with your doctor or a medical
person prior to trying some of the more out of the
ordinary cures for heartburn remedies. Very true when applied to
expectant mothers who sometimes suffer from pregnancy heartburn.

Whenever a natural heartburn remedy is discussed, ginger is
mentioned as though it was a universal cure-all. It’s true that
ginger has been a long-time favorite in settling upset stomachs and, in
fact, many organisations operating short sea trips dispense
ginger pills for this reason. This might possibly work in some
cases and there is evidence to support the use of ginger tablets
in these conditions. Other ginger-based items propagated by
their many enthusiasts include ginger in it’s many guises of crystallized stem ginger, ginger tea,
ginger-flavoured lollies and cookies even though
the real ginger content of a ginger cookie is often just above 1%.

Yet another of the usual items thought by some folk to
be useful in treating heartburn and indigestion is honey.
Recently there have not been any studies which put forward honey as a
reliable cure for heartburn and indigestion, there is some
supporting evidence that suggest Active Manuka honey can be helpfull in
treating children who have gastroenteritis. There is no doubt
that Active Manuka honey has a unique antibacterial property
which suggests it should be considered for internal and external
use.

Sometimes herbal tea is quite high if you’re searching for a natural heartburn remedy
but which one? Popular teas of the herb variety are
seed tea, cinnamon tea, slippery bark elm tea and fennel seed
tea. It is put forwarded that these teas are sleep-inducing and
are best taken in the evening.

Liquorice or to gige it it’s full name DGL – De-Glycyrrhizinated Liquorice -
is well regarded as a heartburn home remedies in tablet form
if chewed consistently and digested around twenty minutes preceding a main
meal.

The juice from the Aloe Vera plant enjoyed a burst of popularity
a few years ago and almost became a catch-all cure for
everything. Yet there is some confirmation to support the
claim that a small glass before a meal will assist in soothing an
out-of-sorts stomach. if you are going to try this one make sure your purchase
is for internal use as there are various Aloe Vera products
suitable for exterior use only.

It’s inevitable that in any discussion about a natural cure for
heartburn there will be at least one out of the ordinary if not downright wacky
contribution but there are actually two which will take some pluck
and ingenuity to try. One involves our old friend ginger, but in
this instance out of Africa, but it must be mixed with something
not in every grocery cupboard. If you use sap from a mango tree
with crushed ginger you’ll have a concoction familiar in the
Congo as tangawisi juice – said to cure most stomach ailments.

The other thing to try, and on this occasion it’s in most
larders, will need some courage to give it a go
and is from France. It is said that it was favoured by the
Spanish Conquistadors in their 15th and 16th
century expeditions to the new world. Fact or fiction, who knows?
Nevertheless, you can try it if you are game, so just get yourself a teaspoon of yellow
mustard and, hey presto, within five minutes all your heartburn
will not be there anymore, or that’s what I’m lead to believe!

It’s undeniable that most, if not all, of these remedies will
are successfull for some folk. All the same, it will be necessary to
make a decision yourself, by trial and error if any is, for you, a
natural cure for heartburn or old wives’ tail.
