Great Homemade Colon Cleanser Recipes

Many of us are reading and hearing about how important it is to maintain a healthy colon. While the best way to a healthy colon is through a healthy, well balanced diet, we don’t all have the luxury to eat completely healthy foods all the time. That’s why it can be a real help to do a regular colon cleanse.
You can easily purchase an over the counter colon cleanser, but it can be much more convenient to simply throw together your own cleanser! Most recipes are easy to follow and made up of natural ingredients.
There are several types of vegetables and spices which encourage natural colon functioning, some of which are featured in the colon cleansing recipes below, by Rachna Gupta.
Vegetable Soup
Ingredients
- A few cucumbers (peeled and seeded)
- 1 to 2 tomatoes (seeded and cut into cubes)
- 1 jalapeno (seeded)
- ½ an onion (diced)
- A few drops of lime juice
- 3 cloves of garlic (roasted and smashed)
- 2 cups of vegetable stock (organic)
- 1 teaspoon of parsley
- 1 teaspoon of cilantro
How to make the soup
First of all add all the ingredients (pureed or whole) to the vegetable stock. Now mix it well and then serve the soup either hot or cold.
Lemon Juice
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of lime juice
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 1/10 teaspoon of red cayenne pepper
- 12 oz of hot water
- 1 serving of fiber (powdered)
Making the drink
Lemon juice is easy to make, all you need to do is mix the above ingredients in a large glass and drink immediately.
Although most homemade colon cleanse recipes include natural ingredients, some of those substances can cause a reaction when combined. This is why it is important that you consult your doctor before trying out a new recipe, just to make sure it’s safe for you to use.
