Does The P90X Workout Get Results?
Getting into shape can be quite a task. Everybody wants to look good and feel great. What many people struggle with is the first steps towards living a healthier life. Just like most things in life, you will need guidance or knowledge before you start. Not everybody is a personal trainer or fitness guru. Where do you turn for advice about getting into shape and losing weight?
P90X is your answer. There are 12 different workouts that you do during that time period. You will be doing 5 workouts during each 4 week period on repeat mode. After the first 30 days you have a recovery week to let you’re body recoup and get ready for the next 30 days. This process repeats itself for the entire 90 days.
One aspect of the workout that people will learn to love is that it has a detailed routine. You are given a guide telling you exactly what workouts to do on what day over the 90 day period. This takes the guessing out of what you were going to do at the gym. No more thinking about working out, it’s time to get busy. With P90X you are going to be doing a workout for about an hour straight with small minute breaks here and there.
P90X is built around the principle of muscle confusion. This is where you introduce new workouts every 30 days so you’re body never plateaus. Typical workouts do not change all that much and you stop seeing results. P90X forces you to change so you’re body is always working and never gets bored.
If you are serious about getting into shape, then you need to buy the P90X workout DVD. There is no age limit and the trainer, Tony Horton, shows you variations of each exercise to go with your fitness level.Doing it this way will help you build your strength and motivate you to get to the next level. The first 60 days are tough. People who were very out of shape before P90X need to understand that you’re body has more work to do then somebody who stayed in shape. Many people enjoy P90X so much they end up doing the whole program over and over again pushing themselves to get even more results.
Just like with anything in life, you are only going to get out of P90X what you put into it. If you commit to following the program you will get into better shape and have a new outlook on working out. Stay with the program and don’t go taking days off as this will set you back. Make time out of your day to do the P90X workout routine as this is a investment in your health.
